The Illinois Tutoring Initiative was created as a cross-agency initiative (IBHE, ISBE, ICCB, and the Governor's Office) to implement high impact tutoring for districts most impacted by the COVID pandemic. The statewide initiative works across the state via a regional model in conjunction with universities and colleges. This presentation will discuss early implementation of the Illinois Tutoring Initiative statewide. It will discuss the core features of high impact tutoring and provide examples of different implementation models across IL. An overview of the research supporting this evidence-based practice will also be provided. Finally, initial findings about implementation in the spring 22 semester will be presented.
